LOGS dancers don't miss a beat and achieve 100% pass rate in NATD Junior Medal exams

Since September 2024, students in the Senior School dance club at LOGS have been working towards their Junior Medal exam, graded by the National Association of Teachers of Dancing.

To prepare for the Junior Medal, students were taught the first minute of a 90 second contemporary dance routine choreographed by their teacher, before working in pairs each week to create their own ending.

Since September, the Junior Medal has been performed at Beat the Darkness in October and again at the school’s Christmas Dance Showcase in December.

In January 2025, 16 of our dancers in years 7-8 performed their Junior Medal routines in pairs to the examiner alongside other students from outside of LOGS taking graded NATD exams.

We are thrilled to announce there was 100% pass rate and that all students achieved merits and distinctions. Congratulations to all dancers involved and a special mention to Ivy and Cress in year 7 who were also awarded distinctions in their Grade 3 NATD exam on the same day.

Head along to this year’s annual dance gala on 25th and 26th March to see the Junior Medal in action for the final time, as well as a new routine the Senior Dance Club students have been working on this term!
