Enrichment and Careers Guidance is a crucial element to Sixth Form life. At LOGS we aim to provide our pupils with as much information as possible about the options that are open to them once they leave school. We hope to inspire them through our Speakers Programme to pursue their career ambitions.

During the two years at Sixth Form, our students will attend a UCAS exhibition, a Gap Fair for information about Gap Year possibilities and a National Apprenticeship event. We have excellent links with Sussex University who host our pupils so that they can get a taste of campus life. We also hold our own Careers Evenings with past pupils speaking about their own career journeys and achievements.

Our Speakers Programme continues this year. The programme is a line-up of inspirational speakers for our Sixth Form. We aim to provide insight for our pupils into a range of subjects and ideas and career pathways. It’s also about making sure our pupils have a firm grasp on human rights and responsibilities, ensuring that they are well-prepared to participate fully in local and global communities and helping them to become rounded and reflective human-beings.

Sixth Formers are also offered the opportunity to attend a Mock Interview afternoon where they can experience real-life interviews and gain valuable feedback, from parents and past pupils who represent a wide variety of industries. Pupils will also be provided with in-depth information relating to apprenticeships and college courses in their enrichment sessions. Parents are also looked after in this important phase of a student’s life with information evenings to help answer their questions about this important phase. Every aspect of the next step is supported by the Sixth Form team with help and advice in applications, student finance, gap years and application to overseas universities.
