Friends of LOGS

Welcome to the Friends of LOGS, a PTA designed for everyone involved with Lewes Old Grammar, and there to enhance the social side of our school whilst adding to the lives of the pupils within it through fundraising activities and good deeds.

We want to strengthen the sense of community across the whole school, giving parents, old and new and from all year groups, the chance to meet each other and socialise.

Events
Through the events we put on throughout the year we bring those involved in the school in all aspects together to meet and socialise and enjoy themselves. These events also help showcase the pupils and their amazing capabilities. We also support the school’s events by lending assistance and expertise where required to maximise the success.

Funds
The funds we raise though the PTA levy and the events we can enhance the lives of the pupils and their experiences during their time at LOGS by contributing to equipment and experiences that help us stand out from others.

A Voice for Parents
We also provide the Senior Leadership at LOGS with a parent voice. Lewes Old Grammar School is our school. We, as parents, share the collective responsibility for educating our children with the school itself, it is a partnership. Through consultation with parents and discussions with the Head and their team, we strive to keep communication of key issues between the school and its parents concise and informative for all parties.

Getting Involved
Friends of LOGS is all about bringing people together, inspiring our pupils, supporting our staff and enriching lives. As with anything, it’s always way more fun when lots of people get behind it. We arrange fantastic social events and we urge you to come along, rally a group of friends and join in the fun. We are always looking for volunteers to help our events run smoothly, it is always good fun too!
