Equestrian update

LOGS’ equestrian competitors did the school proud at their latest competition.

Ruby Norman (year 12), Rhianna Hawkins (year 12), Katie Latham (year 11) and Isla Norman (Year 11) made the three-and-a-half hour journey to Bedfordshire on November 12 to compete in the National Schools Equestrian Association’s National Championships.

In the Warm Up class, the team finished first overall and as individuals Katie came third, Ruby sixth and Rhianna eighth.

In the extremely challenging 95cm class, the team finished fourth which was impressive as Isla, who finished 3rd individually, was riding her horse Silver Soul for the first time in competition and Ruby was riding hers for only the second time in competition. Katie finished fourth individually in this class.

In the 85cm class, the team were really unlucky, with one elimination and four riding faults and time faults but they still managed to finish as a team in a very respectable 10th place.
