Miles with Meaning: LOGS Students Go the Distance for Cancer Research UK

Throughout March and April, students from Years 7 – 10 completed a 4K Race for Life in support of Cancer Research UK, a challenge that combined fitness, fun and fundraising.

Every pupil embraced the challenge with incredible enthusiasm, showing determination and resilience whether they were running under bright blue skies or in drizzle and cloudy conditions.

Throughout each run, it was fantastic to see the students being so thoughtful and supportive of one another, whether it was by cheering from the sidelines or running beside a friend who needed a boost.

This year, students set themselves an ambitious target to raise £4,000 for those affected by cancer in the UK, building on last year’s impressive total of just over £3,500.

Thanks to the generosity of friends, family and the wider school community, we are thrilled to share that our students have exceeded their fundraising goal for 2025.

Every penny raised will go directly to Cancer Research UK, supporting vital research and helping to improve the lives of people affected by cancer across the country.

We are incredibly proud of every student who took part and grateful to everyone who donated and supported this event. The money raised will make a huge difference to many lives across the country.
