LOGS Dancers are Awarded Leadership Qualification

Congratulations to Emily and Ella in year 11 who have recently completed their Level 2 Dance Leadership Awards.

The girls have worked since September 2023 to teach a variety of dance classes. They have been observed and assessed and even organised their own dance showcases and workshops in order to complete their qualifications.

A recent moderation confirmed they have all passed with flying colours, with written feedback commenting on “the high level of detail that has been shown across all of their paperwork and how the learners have received specific, individual, and developmental feedback throughout the course as well as the wide range of leadership opportunities available to them.”

This achievement shows just what can be achieved with hard work and dedication and we hope that both girls are extremely proud of themselves.

The girls have been exceptional role models to the younger dancers within the school and we look forward to seeing how they use their new teaching qualification in the future.

The team took part in a practice session at Teamsport Lancing indoor track recently and all three drivers showed excellent speed and kart control which bodes well for the local finals which take place at Lancing in March 2023.

These finals will consist of 6 x 12 min individual sprint races (each driver races in two heats) with points being awarded on finishing positions.  Should LOGS Kart Team qualify from this local final then it’s on to regional finals which take place in London Docklands on May 10.  The National Finals take place at Teamsport Warrington on June 16.
