Lewes Old Grammar School shortlisted for Co-ed School of the Year

Lewes Old Grammar School is down to the last handful of schools nationally to be named Co-ed School of the Year in the Independent School of the Year awards organised by Independent School Parent magazine.

Hundreds of schools from across the country entered the awards and the winners of each category will be announced at a glittering ceremony in London next month.

The aim of the awards is to highlight the excellence of the student experience in independent schools and LOGS beat off stiff competition from some of the most famous schools in the country.

LOGS’ Junior School was also shortlisted in the awards for Prep School of the Year.

Headmaster Robert Blewitt said: “It is a wonderful affirmation of all that we do at LOGS to know we have got down to the last few schools in the running for this award. LOGS is about allowing each child who comes here to develop their own individual skills, whether they be in the science lab, on the stage, in the orchestra or on the sports fields and the judges have recognised this. Our students emerge from LOGS as responsible, well-rounded and caring individuals which says more about us than anything else – but it’s still nice to be noticed!”
