Chloe's dance future on course after top college gives her the nod

YEAR 7 dancer Chloe Pritchard is celebrating after a top performing arts college has invited her to join its monthly elite training.

Chloe heard this month that she has been accepted onto the Performers’ College Elite Associates programme which sees performing arts professionals in their field tutoring young talent. Performers College is now part of BIMM University.

Despite being a year younger than the minimum age of 12, Chloe’s applied with an online audition of various dance genres and was told her standard was high enough to be recruited.

The College is known for producing alumni who have gone onto diverse roles in the industry, from performing with Kendrick Lamar at Glastobury to taking lead roles in the West End.

Now Seaford-based Chloe, who has already starred in the musical Shrek at the Theatre Royal in Brighton and will next appear in Grease at the Old Market in Hove, will attend classes once a month for high intensity training, working with professionals from the world of dance, musical theatre, singing and acting.

Said mum Kiran Pritchard: “We are super proud of Chloe to have been asked to do this despite being a year younger than the others. She is very, very lucky indeed to have got into such a prestigious dance college.”

Headteacher Mr Blewitt said: “What a wonderful achievement for Chloe at such a young age. Dancing at this level takes dedication, perseverance and resilience – qualities that we work very hard to instil in our pupils – and Chloe is a great inspiration!”
