Student raises money for Chestnut Tree House

An exceptionally thoughtful and compassionate Year 6 pupil, Daniel Macdiarmid, has been raising money for various charities since he was 7 years old. It began with his Mum and Dad thinking it would be nice to give Christmas presents to children in hospital but grew into Daniel himself undertaking a fundraising challenge each year. He started with a BMX stunt, performing a backflip on a particular ramp, and then did a 50 mile sponsored bike ride.

In 2018, looking for something new, Daniel’s Dad came up with the idea of doing the longest, highest, and fastest zip wire in Europe whilst blindfolded! Daniel attracted sponsorship from all over the country and as far away as America, raising an amazing £2585.71 for the children at Chestnut Tree House.
