Theo speaks out to green experts at book launch

YEAR 10’s Theo Claydon spoke out about his hopes for a greener world at the London book launch of a leading environmentalist.

15-year-old Theo was attending the launch of author and green campaigner John O’Brien, whose book Stories from 2030: Disruption, Acceleration, Transformation draws together contributions from business, innovation, finance, journalism, politics, storytelling and the environment.

Theo is John’s great nephew and was asked to write about how he hoped 2030 would look environmentally and read his work out at the launch.

The book is the latest in a series. The first was Stories from Your Future where contributors told of their hopes and fears for the long term. Stories from 2030 sees the likes of David Lammy MP, climate scientist Katharine Heyhoe and Natural England chair Tony Juniper write about identifying risks, harnessing finance, developing solutions and driving government action.

Said Theo: “I really enjoyed being part of this book and trying to encourage positive change for a greener world, which will benefit every young person’s future.”
