LOGS Students Make Waves at ISA National Sailing Regatta

On Thursday 2nd October, pupils from LOGS took to the water at Draycote Water in Warwickshire to compete in the ISA National Sailing Regatta, facing off against students from across the country. This is the first time we have entered this competition.

Fourteen schools participated, divided into two fleets: the Main Fleet for experienced sailors and the Rookie Fleet for those newer to competitive racing. The regatta took place on a large inland lake, with challenging weather conditions leading to numerous capsizes throughout the day

Despite the testing winds and after six hours of determined sailing, Year 7 student Arlo secured an impressive silver medal in the Rookie Fleet — a fantastic achievement in his first competition.

Meanwhile, Cara and Isla competed in the Main Fleet, performing well, completing their races and gaining valuable experience at a high level of competition.

Well done to the whole LOGS team for their perseverance and enthusiasm. It was a rewarding day on the water!
