LOGS pupils take part in Remembrance Day parades

LOGS pupils took part in Remembrance Day parades this November as well as helping raise thousands of pounds in poppy donations.

Rory Dawson (year 8), Rory Macleod (year 10), Oscar Macleod (year 8), all members of the Sussex Army Cadet Force no 5 Haywards Heath, and Alex Dawson (year 10), who is in 172 Haywards Heath Squadron Air Cadets, marched at Muster Green in Haywards Heath in the morning, with both Rorys going on to march in Lewes too in the afternoon.

The three army cadets also took part in a full day of selling poppies in Haywards Heath Town Centre and helped raise a staggering £3146.66 during their seven hours on duty.

Meanwhile year 10’s cadet Adam Alexander took part in the Brighton Remembrance Sunday activities including poppy selling at Churchill Square.

Headmaster Mr Blewitt said: “We are very proud of the boys for their contribution to what is such an important day. They have gone out of their way to make a difference and show commitment and that is exactly what the school’s values are all about.”
