Ava pulls off two Sussex triumphs in cross country events

YEAR 9 athlete Ava James has had a fantastic cross-country season, excelling in her U15 events despite being aged just 13.

She represented Sussex in the U15 Girls at the UK Intercounties Cross Country race in Loughborough in March 2022, an invitation only event, and was the first girl home for Sussex. Overall in the race she was 37th – not bad when competing with girls two years older!

Days later she ran for Sussex Schools in the English Schools competition at Paddock Wood in Kent competing in a 340-girl race and managed a really determined finish to place 23rd for U15s, again being the first Sussex girl in the team home.

LOGS is super proud of Ava who puts so much effort and determination into her running and has impressed everyone, competing a year up, meaning she has another whole season in the U15s.

Well done Ava!
