Lewes Old Grammar School is a community which is moulded by the individual pupil’s aspirations and needs. At LOGS, we believe in investing in our staff in the same way.
Continual Professional Development
LOGS prides itself on the expertise of staff in each subject area. Experienced and new teachers who join our faculties will benefit from the wealth of specialism across the curriculum and the excellent resources available to them.
We ensure our CPD is bespoke to our staff based on levels of experience, expertise and years of teaching. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, we encourage our staff with the support of their managers to identify areas of development and have the freedom to select the training they want.
New to teaching?
If you are new to teaching, LOGS provides a programme to support you through your first few years. Our Early Careers Teachers (ECTs) are accredited through the Independent Schools Teacher Induction Panel (IStip). ECTs receive an excellent support programme to ensure success in their first year, which includes mentoring, one to one support with the Head of Curriculum and regular sharing of best practice from experienced staff.
