The Lewes Old Grammar School pupil appeared in Accolade by Emlyn Williams, a 1950s production about the intense scrutiny that comes with fame and success.

Logan, 14, from Brighton, has been appearing in theatre and on TV since he was seven and has divided his time between auditions and productions and schoolwork.

He has appeared in various TV adverts, has played Little Jake in the UK tour of Annie Get Your Gun at the Theatre Royal in Brighton, has toured the UK in Joseph three times and has even starred in Priscilla Queen of the Desert on a cruise ship sailing the Caribbean for five weeks.

In Accolade, Logan played the 14-year-old son of the main character and was tasked with some very major scenes as his stage father came to terms with being exposed as gay in a deeply homophobic society.

Said Logan, who attends Brighton Theatre Workshop every Saturday: “There was only nine of us in the cast and I was the only child so it was a great part to get. I think the toughest things I had to master were being able to make myself cry and also talking like a child from the 1950s! The run, from May 11 to 18, meant I had to miss out on performing at my school play which I was really sad about but it was a great experience. Although I do lots of types of dance and also TV work, live theatre is my favourite type of performance.

Logan’s next challenge will also be at Lewes Little Theatre over the summer where he will appear in his first Shakespeare play, A Winter’s Tale, and will play Prince Mamillius.
