Chess - Butler Cup U14

LOGS secured second place in the first group stage of the Butler Cup thanks to some fighting chess in their second and third round matches.

A 4-0 defeat to Uckfield in the first round was soon forgotten as Charlotte Robson and Rufus Hanna quickly secured wins vs St Andrews. It was left to Euan Hanna to secure victory in the match on board one.

The final match vs Brambletye saw an early checkmate by Theo Light. Rufus and Euan Hanna again won to see them both finish with two wins and the team finish in second position.

The next round will take place after Christmas.
