LOGS Students Celebrate World Day of Languages

On 13th March, staff and students at LOGS came together as a community to celebrate World Day of Languages to help raise money for the Red Cross.
For a £1 donation, everyone got into the spirit by wearing outfits inspired by different languages spoken around the world. It was wonderful to see such a range of costumes including Cristiano Ronaldo, Big Ben and even a giant panda!

During morning registration, students teamed up with friends to compete in the ‘Guess the Language’ challenge, where they watched a short video and tried to identify as many different languages as they could.

The day also featured a Languages Bake-Off, where students showcased their language-themed bakes to be judged on both appearance and taste. We were absolutely blown away by the imagination and creativity behind the bakes this year, with creations including a croissant cake, a sushi cake complete with chopsticks and soy sauce, a map of the world and a tiered cake inspired by ancient Greece.

Thank you to the MFL department for organising such a fun and creative day, it was fantastic to see the LOGS community come together and celebrate different languages, cultures and traditions around the world.
