Annual quiz goes on regardless!

The pandemic did not stop LOGS parents from taking part in this year’s quiz, with Microsoft Teams coming in handy as Year 9 head Mr Alikan hosted the remotely-held event on Thursday evening.

Across five gruelling rounds, teams of families up and down Sussex sat in their living rooms, parents cradling their reds as they pondered what the capital of the Phillipines was (Manila), which country had the most hurricanes (US) and what the chemical symbol was for silver (Ag). Extra points were handed out for guessing which chocolate bar our quiz master was chomping on between rounds (yes, it was that serious)!

The jubilant winning team were Mr and Mrs Capildeo.

As ever, entry fees for the quiz all go to a good cause and this year £130 will be sent to the MS Foundation – a charity chosen by our Year 9 pupils.

Well done Mr Alikan for arranging such a fun event which gave everyone a change from watching Queen’s Gambit on Netflix – and we look forward to next year’s event happening back at school when we can all be together again.
